 * I have update my wordpress in the past it it completely changed the look of my
   website…which took me a long time to get it back to the way I like it…how do 
   I update wordpress without it changing the look of my website?

 * Easy. Dont’ change any core WordPress files, or theme files.
 * Any time you want to make a change to a theme’s file you should always use a 
   [child theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes). That way this won’t happen
   again.
