Correction: I CAN log back in (admin bar comes back on the site) but none of the admin pages will load. Just blank pages.

I’m in the same boat… I used ftp to go in an disable the plugin and now I can use all of the dashboard tools… How can I get a copy of the pulgin prior to this new update?

    Thanks

Hey guys, not entirely sure what’s going on with this. We updated quite a few installations and didn’t come across any of these issues. We also had this in beta for a week with no issues that popped up. You can find the previous version here:

    https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/aesop-story-engine.1.2.1.zip

Are you able to access your servers logs and see why it’s causing the white screen issues?

What PHP version are you guys running? I updated a few more sites and didn’t encounter any issues.

My web guy deleted the plugin and service was restored so it is definitely your plugin. I’ll see if I can find out what PHP version we’re running and see if the server logs say anything.

It looks like this is going to be an issue with the version of PHP that your hosts are running. We’re using some syntax introduced in PHP 5.4. When we switched back to 5.3 we found the error. We’re applying a patch now, and will deploy this as soon as it’s ready.

I really apologize for this inconvenience.

Thanks Nick for the prior version, that got me back to where I was…

    I’m running

    ### Begin System Info ###
    WordPress Version: 4.0.1

    PHP Version: 5.3.29
    MySQL Version: 5.1.56-log
    Web Server Info: Apache/2.2.29
    GD Support: Yes

    PHP Memory Limit: 256M

    Thanks Again

We just deployed 1.3.1 which contains this hotfix for hosts running older versions of 5.4. Again we’re sorry for the inconvenience. Please let us know if this resolves your issues.

Gonna go ahead and mark this as resolved but feel free to reach out with any other queries.
