Updated theme and WordPress – no category archives?

    Just updated WordPress to 4.0, and my theme (MH Magazine), and now my category archives don’t show any posts. I hav my categories as menu items, and before the update each category page would list the posts in that category. Now I just see the category title as a header, and then no posts. What could cause this? All help very welcome!

    I would check your menu settings, resave your permalinks.

    Still not working? turn off all plugins, switch themes to twenty-fourteen.

    If the category posts start working now, you can try activating your theme and plugins one by one, checking each time if there is some kind of problem.

    thanks for using MH Magazine.

    Please select a layout for your archives in your WordPress dashboard under “Appearance => Customize => Layout Options”, that should solve your issue.

    By the way, it seems you are using the premium version of MH Magazine. Please be aware that commercial (paid) themes are not supported on WordPress.org. In case you need theme support, please open a support ticket at the MH Themes Helpdesk.

    Ah, thanks. Wasn’t sure if this was a theme-problem or wp-problem, that’s why I asked here.

    Thanks to both of you for your suggeestions, will try them!
