  • I would like for the links in my blogrolls, which I manage within WordPress, to show when blogs are updated. I have the “Updated” box checked in all of the specifications for my link categories, but they still don’t show when blogs have been updated. Is there tag or something I need to add to my sidebar for this to happen? Can someone point me in the right direction?

I too would like this to happen, but as yet it seems to be broken ?

As far as I know you need have the ‘track update links’ box (options > misc) ticked and to run update-links.php as a CRON job.

Ok. I guess it’s the second part that I don’t konw how to do. That is, running update-links.php as a cron job. If anyone can help me with this I’d appreciate it. I’ll also post to the thread any answers I come across on my own.

Be warned that Pingomatic, the service that update-links.php checks to check when blogs are updated, currently does not get pinged by most non-Wordpress blogs.

I have created a plugin that tracks updates via an RSS feed (I use it with my favorites on, which tracks many many more blogs than Pingomatic). The plugin and documentation can be found at My Blog.

whoops, wrong address at the end there. Check here.

Has anyone been successful in getting their links to show as updated?
