    updated plugin to 1.6.18 and now get error when try to activate it:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home4/xxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/stock-market-ticker/stockdio_ticker_widget.php on line 250

    running php 7.2.7
    WordPress 3.9.29

    Hi, it seems the version of WordPress you are using is a little old. According to your message, you are using WP 3.9.29, but the current version of WP available is 5.2, with 5.3 around the corner. We’d recommend you to upgrade your WP version, as we cannot guarantee that our plugins will work all previous versions. In some cases, WP makes internal changes that forces plugin developers to change the code to adapt to the new version of WP, but may break previous compatibility.
