• after countless updates which never fixed issues, I had to finally delete Spectra.
It cost me an enormous amount of time to fix layouts on several websites.
I am very disappointed and now more then ever aware how quickly things can go from bad to total shitstorm.

    found an alternative Plugin.

that was not good practice. learn from your mistakes.

..actually maybe saved me time for NOW, but if they don’t fix the issues I have to find another plugin and change everything I used with UAG.
it’s truly a mess at the moment.

    Hey @cschallo,

We’re sad that this update has caused you issues.

Our team worked hard, tried its best to make it a smooth transition from prior versions to 2.0, and ran an extensive public beta testing program for several weeks.

However, it seems we could not test all these possibilities. We’re so sorry for the trouble.

If you get in touch with our support team (or if you already have) — rest assured we will work with you and fix the issues you are facing.

    hey @sujaypawar,

I managed to fix a section which held multiple buttons.
I fixed it by first deleting it entirely and then recreating the whole design while using a new container and inserting the native Gutenberg buttons. There was no other way.

My post blog grid lost it’s complete css styling after the update and I had to work on this too. Luckily I was able to rollback to a previous version of Spectra when it was still UGA and noted all the styles I used before and made screenshots.

I also had to change a “call to action” section which looked weird on mobile devices and it lost it’s css styling totally. It’s now too a native Gutenberg paragraph with styling.

so all in all I am only using the blog grid and one container of Spectra. It was much more before. but we got burned dude!

We spent a lot of time fixing pages. It was a wild ride.

Insert a red warning in the plugin section before you make people update your plugin. Elementor does that too and this way your users are warned at least.

Wow, I can understand the frustration. Even though we put effort to make this transition seamless, we certainly should have done more.

Certainly, it is a lesson learned for us.

BTW – Just in case you are not aware, Spectra offers a one-click, roll-back functionality that is explained here:

    https://wpspectra.com/docs/rollback-spectra-version/

If you need any further help, please feel free to reach out. We will be happy to help.

yes, I used this functionality for the rollback. I saw it when you first updated.
that feature is neat and was a great help!

I deleted your plugin a while ago, because I had spent ages on trying to fix your errors.

    Hi @cschallo,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

We have made the spectra bug-free and also provided many new advanced features that help in getting attractive layouts. You don’t have to spend any more time fixing the issue, we are just one email away. I am requesting you give it one more try and check the plugin.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Have a nice day!
