    OK. Ive got a slider set up, which works very well. It shows featured images. I’ve tried to dynamically add new sliders to it, with no luck.

    I’ve found a hack, which is over-writing the image for the promotion with the image I want to use, which works extremely well apart from the link for the promotion is no longer valid.

    Is there an easy way to update the URL for the promotion programatically?

    Thanks,

    Simon.

    @simontopple,

    Perhaps the question you should be asking is how to properly add new sliders dynamically. What are you trying to do and what have you tried this far?

    Related to updating the URL programmatically, that depends on how you are currently overwriting the image for the promotion.

    Quite possibly! I’ve looked at the documentation but couldn’t figure it out. I’ve hacked a workaround (functional but not best practice – copy image file over original, then update database with new URL directly using the fixed post/promotion ID – not ideal whatsoever but works a treat!), but being able to add them programatically would be very useful however I know nothing about hooks in wordpress.

    @simontopple,

    I don’t think I am entirely clear on what you are doing / trying to do. Perhaps if I understood your overall goals and the specifics of how you went about setting things up I would understand better.
