I’m not looking to update Dyad 2, I have the latest version. I’m looking for people who have updated to the latest version of WordPress, 5.7. If Dyad 2 hasn’t been updated since 2019, it’s very possible things could break with the latest WP update.
It seems development has stopped for Dyad, do you have any suggestion for replacement?
You are encouraged to use Dyad 2 for the most up-to-date version of the theme. Dyad 2 is indistinguishable from the original Dyad but the code is updated: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/dyad-2-a-refeshed-version-of-dyad/
It is correct that the theme is no longer under active development however, and there is no plan for a replacement that I know of. It’s a pretty unique theme so I can’t think of an alternative that is similar I’m afraid.
I’m still hoping to hear from someone who has updated to the latest version of WordPress, 5.7, and uses Dyad 2.

As for other themes, I use one called Bard on one of my blogs and I like that very much. It’s frequently updated, likely because there is also a paid version (I use the free one).
I will probably end up replacing Dyad 2 with Bard or something that is more up-to-date. I can’t risk it breaking when WordPress does an update.
