    Hi Ben,

I was able to search and get results in:

    https://staging.islandnaturetrust.ca/members/

    without noticing any problem.

    What errors have you seen?

    Interesting.

So it appears the issue is manifesting for logged in users only.
I visted the url anonymously navigate to the url and it works fine but when I login with user credentials this error is thrown back:

Notice: is_singular was called incorrectly. Conditional query tags do not work before the query is run. Before then, they always return false. Unfortunately I’m unable to reproduce the issue.

Can you confirm that BP Profile Search 5.3.4 works correctly with WordPress 5.6.1?

You can roll-back and forth plugin versions with:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rollback/

    and WordPress versions with:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/

You wont be able to reproduce since you don’t have a user account for the website. It is determined that the issue arises for logged in users only.

I can create a guest user for you if you want to see the debug log for yourself?

Is the error log provided above not useful for troubleshooting?

I can do the roll back but how will that help to resolve the issue?

    Thanks

    (@benrussell)

I can confirm that the issue is reproducable on a roll back to 5.6.1

    Thread Starter benrussell

    (@benrussell)

And with BP Profile Search rolled backed to 5.3.4

    Hi Ben,

    Good questions.

You wont be able to reproduce since you don’t have a user account for the website. It is determined that the issue arises for logged in users only.

True, I forgot to specify I was trying to reproduce on my site.

I can do the roll back but how will that help to resolve the issue?

If we can determine that BP Profile Search version X works, while version X+1 doesn’t, that’s a useful starting point.

Is the error log provided above not useful for troubleshooting?

Yes, it is, but unfortunately it’s not enough in this case.

I can create a guest user for you if you want to see the debug log for yourself?

Yes please, that would allow me to run additional tests easier to perform than to explain. You can use my Contact page to share the details privately.

    Thank you Andrea,

    I’ve dropped you a private message…

To other interested readers, the problem is caused by a conflict with ‘wpForo Forum’.

Unfortunately I’ve not yet been able to determine the reason of the conflict.
