Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com. Unfortunately I cannot access that file on your site at the moment:
    http://redlandsteaparty.net/an/xmlrpc.php

If you use a security plugin to block access to the file, you’ll need to configure it to allow incoming and outgoing connections to /xmlrpc.php.

If you do not use such plugin, you’ll want to contact your hosting provider and ask them if they currently block access to your site’s XML-RPC file.

    I hope this helps.

I know that seems like a good test, but the wordpress install right next to this one, http://redlandsteaparty.net/rtp/xmlrpc.php cant acces that file publically either, but it none the less works fine…

I’m afraid the problem will be the same with that other site as soon as you try to disconnect and reconnect Jetpack to WordPress.com. You’ll also most likely experience issues with modules that need to communicate with WordPress.com, like Subscriptions or Publicize.

I’m afraid I can’t really tell you more. The XML-RPC file being blocked, I have no way to communicate with your site from a WordPress.com server.

It might be worth contacting your hosting provider and asking them to take a look at the XML-RPC requests made on your site. If you send them a link to the file and the errors generated when trying to access it, they might be able to fix it for you:

Thanks for giving it a try. Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1. Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2. Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4. Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5. Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private details about your site.

    Thanks!
