• Hi All: I upgraded my WP 3.5 install to 3.7.1 on Windows Server 2008 R2, and my permalinks started failing with a “too many redirects” error.

WP is running in it’s own application process and is a virtual directory in the main website, with syntax http://www.mywebsite.com/blog. This has been working properly for over a year.

Default permalink and “numeric” permalinks work, but “day and name” or any other custom structure does not.

Not sure where to look to solve the problem? The blog root directory has a simple web.config urlrewrite mapping everything to index.php. Interestingly, using the “numeric” permalink works fine, like:

    http://www.myweb.com/blog/archives/3321

and if I pass my old permalink structure to the blog, like:

    http://www.myweb.com/blog/2013/11/27/blog-title

it redirects to the numeric structure above just fine…but if I try to set that URL syntax in the permalink settings, I get the redirect loop…any ideas?
