Update theme will reset content?

Hi everyone, sorry try to find a solution from this forum but not available. There’s pop up ask to update to the new version every time I want to use customizer.

When I go to update there’s a warning that previous content will be reset. Should I update or shouldn’t I?. Sorry newbie here…
