Update Servces

    I have searched and read through some previous posts, but the answer to this is still not clear to me. In the Options section, there is a place to add update services. I found one was already added:

    http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

    I added another one:

    http://weblogs.com/

    I am not sure if the format for the weblogs entry is right.

    Bottom line – if I want best exposure for my blog, do I need to add any other sites to this list?

    You can always go to http://pingomatic.com/ and see that ALL those services are pinged already when you write a post!
    Some of them are quite nasty if they realize you are double pinging… so be aware what you put in your blog!

    Thanks Moshu. Following your link to pingomatic.com, I see a page that requires you to check off what services you want to ping. Does WordPress cause pingomatic to automatically ping all of those?

    Yes, you don’t have to check anything there. WP does that for you.

    If you want to ping other services = not listed on the pingomatic page, you can add them. However, pinging even one service sometimes makes posting very slow.
