# Update/Replace Image Path

 * We initially developed in a staging area before migrating the site to the live
   domain, however, all of the images retained the staging path, rather than updating
   to the live path.
 * A Better Search and Replace doesn’t seem to locate the image paths, so how can
   the image paths updated?

 * I think you need to use the WordPress inbuilt Import and Export tool for that.
 * **Localhost WordPress Admin Dashboard:**
    Admin Menu > Tools > Export – Export
   the slider in XML file
 * **Live Website WordPress Admin Dashboard:**
    Admin Menu > Tools > Import – import
   the slider XML file
 * **Note**: Keep WordPress `uploads` directory same for the live website as local.

 * Gave this a try, but the import doesn’t seem to overwrite the existing sliders
   saying each one “already exists.”
 * Where is the slider information stored, if not in the database?
 * And why not just use a relative path for the image to avoid this issue?
