• Be careful if you update to the latest version of Mesmerize! I just did the update and all of my custom CSS was wiped clean. Font types, font sizes, colors, etc., all wiped clean.

I made a backup beforehand, thankfully.

  • Hello,

You need to save all your extra CSS code in Customizer -> General Settings -> Additional CSS in order to not lose your changes on a theme update.

    Hi,

I tried again and noticed that some templates are still getting wiped. All of my custom styling on blog pages (any post pages) changed even though I inserted my custom CSS. My footer file gets completely wiped too.

It looks like the header file was wiped too, so I lost my Google Tag Manager snippet. How can I update without losing so many things?

    Hello,

For inserting scripts into your pages, we recommend you to use this plugin :

How do I update the theme without losing everything? This is really frustrating. It drops my custom CSS, all custom tags (Google Analytics, Google Search Console) and wipes my header / footer content.

I have copied / pasted the custom CSS into the customizer and it’s not changing. Is there something hardcoded elsewhere with this update?
