Update problems

Hi,
I really like the Youtube plugin, but there is one problem updating it.
I was still using version 1.0, since the update to the versions of 2.x rendered all the videos I have embedded so far inoperating.
The old scheme to embed a video was [youtube 12345] where 12345 was the id of the video. This is obviously not working anymore in the newer versions (at least it didn’t on my blog), so if I upgrade I would have to go through a lot of postings to find broken video links. Is there any way to solve this problem or can you add downward compatibility so that old links will still work when updating to a newer version?
