• I am running several different sites on the same hosting plan, but am only having this problem with one site.

I’ve installed WordPress (4.2.2) and need to run some plugin updates, but recently when I click to install an update it takes me the page with the heading “Update plugins”, but instead of the usual installation progress, the rest of the page is merely blank. The installation never takes place, but does not time out, either. When I eventually click on something and return to the update page, the update has not taken place

The admin bar and tools are all still available during this weird thing.

  • Hi,

Can you disable plugins and try again? (If you have Caching plugins, disable them first and try, if that doesn’t help, disable all plugins)

Hi Dinsan, thanks for the suggestion. Disabling the plugins, then trying to update them, doesn’t have any visible effect on this problem.

Please check with your host to see if your site is hitting resource limits.
