    Hi guys,

The plugin works in 99% most of the time, but it’s true, I have 1-2% of users experiencing issues, mostly related to permissions (logging) or an older version of PHP. If there is anything else I need to find out and fix. I’ll do all the fixes right away, as soon as I get the information from you.

@rayotte, indeed, that shouldn’t have been commented. Logging was on.
@flguy800, @mesotu, did you have a look at your PHP error logs?

    Hi Jordy,
Here’s what I have for you:

[11-Dec-2016 20:44:53 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function wr2x_is_pro() in /home/xrczctr/public_html/my-domain-here/wp-content/plugins/wp-rocket/inc/front/plugin-compatibility.php on line 168

Looks like there’s a conflict with WP Rocket plugin. I’ve alerted them too and they are aware of this. I think they’re also trying to implement a fix, but might be worth contacting them here: WP Rocket <helpdesk@wp-rocket.me>

Here is their response to me:
They seem to have removed the function wr2x_is_pro() from they code without using the correct deprecate way to do it in WordPress to prevent breaking anything that would depend on it.

We’ll prepare a fix on our side too to improve reliability

    Hope this helps 🙂

Thank you @mesotu! I actually re-added that removed function so that it doesn’t affect any more users, even if WP Rocket does an update, if an user update my plugin first then WP Rocket will crash, so I’d add something on my side to handle it.

I didn’t change the new version number, but it’s actually updated. Can you remove the current version of the plugin and re-install it?

    Hi Jordy,
I can easily do a deactivate/delete from the WP dashboard, but to do a complete fresh install, can you advise me on the best way to do this? I could delete from the cPanel side, but just curious to know if there’s anything else I’d need to know to make sure there are no residual files which might conflict with a fresh re-install. Thanks amigo. 🙂

@mesotu simply remove it from your Plugins in WP (but you did it already basically by removing the files – which is also fine), then re-install it through WordPress, just naturally 🙂 Ah, and a little prayer before clicking on Activate might help too… 🙂

    Thanks Jordy,
I’ll try it out in a little while and see if I can get it to work. If not, then I’ll throw in a prayer on top of that just for good measure!

Hello, I also use wp rocket. The homepage runs now after delete/install of the wp retina 2 x few minutes ago. , but the performance is like I wouldn’t use the wp rocket plugin! thanks

Thanks @andizh, that’s a good news! However, what do you mean about WP Rocket? The performance of WP Rocket is not good?

No, aktivate or inactivate of the wp rocket plugin makes a big difference here: https://testmysite.thinkwithgoogle.com/

know, I get the same result like the rocket plugin is inactivate….no caching etc..the figures have been much higher the last days…

After activate/inactivate of the rocket plugin, the figures are know little bit better, More precisely between old and new numbers…I also have sent email to rocket..

Jep, this update broke my website as well, white screen of death =(

I reactivated the plugin successfully after 4.7.4 update. No more problem. Thanks.

@pampfelimetten, perhaps look in your error logs and see if you can locate the issue and post here for Jordy.

If you’re running WP Rocket, you might have issues (as I did this morning).
