# Update not showing

 * Hello,
 * I noticed this morning that on my live sites I am being given an announcement
   that WordPress 3.1.4 is available. However, On my local laptop development sites,
   this update is not being shown – even when I actively check for new updates. 
   It says that I am using the current version of WordPress (3.1.3)
 * I’ve updated my local copies before, so I know that it is possible for local 
   installations to see the updates. Any thoughts?

 * Sometimes it can take a day or so for the update notices to come through.
