Hi imath nice plugin btw , i currently use buddydevs plugin that updates the notification bubble in realtime as a notification happens is there anyway that this can be done with bowe codes? say if i receive a new message or if someone adds a post comment etc it will then update in realtime in the same way rather than a page refresh to see it? because the way the notification bubble updates live and then the bowe code in use does not update live is a little bit odd looking to users.

also is there anyway to just show unread messages instead of seeing the ones you have previously read? or at least an option to delete the ones you have read?

i guess “buddydevs plugin” is using the heartbeat feature to update the notification bubble in realtime… I prefer to avoid adding new events in there, if i can see the source code of the plugin i can have a look, else if the author needs a specific hook i will be happy to add it.

For the second post, just committed this https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/1060722/. So it’s possible using trunk version of the plugin and it will be included in next upgrade.
