 * After updating to the latest Ecwid Plugin for WordPress widget provided by Ecwid
   the entire backend was inaccessible. The screen was completely blank for all
   admin tasks – not even the wordpress top info bar was being displayed.
    It may
   be a case of sequence, which I have assumed from the method that I have corrected
   it.
 * 1) renamed the actual folders of ecwid product advisor and ecwid plugin via FTP
 * 2) Logged in successfully as all screen data was being displayed.
 * 3) re-renamed ecwid plugin via ftp and re-activated it in wordpress = result
   = all ok apart from ecwid product advisor error on chosen display page
 * 4) re-renamed ecwid product advisor back to original name via FTP and then activated
   plugin – cleared cache and refreshed public page. Result = all working again
   now.
 * It may be worth having a look to see what the root cause is as other less experienced
   folk may have issues.
 * regards,
    Martin

 * Hello, Martin!
 * Could you please clarify – what specific version the plugin was updated from?
 * Thank you,
    Sergey

 * Sergey,
 * I had exactly the same issue as Martin, yesterday I updated the latest Ecwid
   plugin for wordpress and now I can’t access the wordpress backend of my site.
   Instead I get a blank web page with the following error message:
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_ecwid_store_id() in /nfs/c07/h03/
   mnt/114590/domains/discology.com.au/html/wp-content/plugins/ecwid-useful-tools/
   functions.php on line 74
 * Also, the ‘Ecwid product advisor’ is broken on my home page (www.discology.com.
   au)
 * I understand that the Ecwid Product Advisor is not compatible with the new Ecwid
   WordPress plugin.
 * Is there anything you can do or recommend a course of action?
 * Thanks.
    Richard

 * Hi Martin,
 * Would you be able to be more specific about re-naming the folders in the sequence
   you renamed them? ie What names did you use?
 * Many thanks.

 * Hi Sergey, Hi Richard,
    Sorry Sergey I wasn’t paying enough attention when updating
   so didn’t notice which version I was updating from… sorry.
 * Richard…
    OK – I’m going to assume that you have access to your actual website
   files either directly on the server or via an FTP client.
 * Here are the steps I took:
 * 1) login to your server and find the directory wp-content > plugins
    2) rename
   the following folders (i think i just put ‘-old’ on the end of the existing filename(
   without the ”): ecwid-shopping-cart ecwid-useful-tools 3) you should now be able
   to login to your wordpress site as normal 4) you will possibly have some notices
   about plugins not working – that’s fine – and you should find that the plugins
   are disabled and possibly under the new name. 5)now go back onto your server
   or via FTP and re-name the ecwid-shopping-cart back from whatever you named it
   to ecwid-shopping-cart 6) Go back into wordpress and then activate the ecwid
   shopping cart plugin. 7) test it is working still with your site but you will
   have an error displaying about the useful tools plugin 8) go back into your server
   and re-name the useful tools plugin from whatever you named it back to ecwid-
   useful-tools 9) Now go back into wordpress and activate the useful tools plugin
   and test. you should find everything working again now.
 * Let me know how you go on and if it works. If you’re struggling – just post.

   Regards, Martin

 * No worries Richard – glad it helped.
 * Obviously this is just a fix to get things back up and running again if you do
   encounter this issue when upgrading.
 * Am pretty sure Sergey will be working on a permanent solution.
    PS – Thanks for
   the great plugin Sergey
