# Update installation

 * Hi Folks
 * I currently have version 3.5.2 with Headway version 3.5.13, I am considering 
   updating my wordpress to version 4.1.
 * I have the following plugins running;
 * Jetpack Version 2.3.1
    Google maps made simple Version 0.6 Inpost gallery Version
   1.1.5 Websimon tables version Version 1.3.3 jQuery Vertical Accordion Menu version
   3.1.2
 * The motivation to upgrade is that I appear not to have the website verification
   services within my current version. This is making it difficult to register with
   search engines.
 * Is it wise to install the updated version or is there an alternative way to register
   with search engines.

 * step 1) do a full backup of your site
    step 2) did you do the backup? if not 
   go abck to step 1 step 3) go read [http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_-_Extended_Instructions](http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_-_Extended_Instructions)
   and follow teh instructions

 * Hi,
 * You can update your WordPress maually-
 * 1.Download the latest WordPress zip file and unzip that file.
    2.Deactivate plugins.
   3.Delete the old wp-includes and wp-admin folder and upload the new wp-includes
   and wp-admin folders. 4.Do NOT delete your existing wp-content folder just Upload
   the individual files from the new wp-content folder to your existing wp-content
   folder, overwriting existing files. 5.Upload all new loose files from the root
   directory of the new version to your existing wordpress root directory. 6.Don’t
   do any changes in wp-config.php file.

 * Dear,
    I just updated my wordpress Blog and now it is not opening. The url is:

 * It is showing blank.
 * Please help me to fix it.
