    Hi,

Is there an option to automatically change image urls in all post image and gallery blocks after changing image sizes in Settings -> Media and regenerating images?
    Here’s a scenario:

    1. have a medium image size set to 1024x1024px
    2. change medium image size to 1200x1200px
    3. regenerate image sizes with ShortPixel Regenerate Thumbnails plugin

Result: now my medium image size is 1200px wide, but the gallery still wants the 1024px version.
Question: is there an option to update all references to images (gutenberg image and gutenberg gallery blocks mostly) to the new image size, that is 1200px wide?

    Thank you,
    Grega

    Hi Grega,

Unfortunately, that is not possible with reGenerate Thumbnails Advanced, but we have another plugin that may be useful: Enable Media Replace (EMR).

With EMR, you could do the following:

    1. have a medium image size set to 1024x1024px
    2. change medium image size to 1200x1200px
    3. with EMR, replace the image with the same one. This way, your thumbnails will be regenerated with the correct size

I hope that helps! And if you have any questions about EMR, feel free to open a new thread on the support forums there: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/enable-media-replace/

    Hi,

thanks for the answer. While the ERM works for single image I need a solution for bulk replacement.
By the way, I’m using ERM and it is a fantastic tool to replace images 🙂

    Thanks,
    Grega
