On several multi-site installations, where I have the plugin activated network-wide, I encountered an update glitch.

From the root site, Updates / Available Updates – check the box next to

    GA Google Analytics
You have version 20140923 installed. Update to 20150314. View version 20150314 details.
Compatibility with WordPress 4.1.1: 100% (according to its author)

and click the “Update Plugins” button. I get a page with the admin toolbar/menus with only the header “Update Plugins” in the content area – no error message (in logs either) – no other content.

If I have multiple plugins needing updates and do a “Select All” on the “Available Updates” page, I get the same result and none of the plugins update. Checking all the other plugins except this one works as it should.

I can update from the regular link on the plugins listing page or the “Install Update Now” button in the modal window that pops up via the “View version 20150314 details” link.

Minor glitch in an otherwise great plugin… very odd problem. I have left my sandbox site “un-updated” (it is securely behind a firewall) in case there’s any testing I can do to help isolate the problem.

Hmm that is odd.. I will definitely investigate this for the next update. In the meantime if you can provide any further info that would be helpful. Thank you for reporting this.

After confirming this on all four sites (all multi-sites, three with the same default theme) I had left my sandbox not-updated until today. I had forgotten this glitch and did a normal update (via “Available Updates”) on the sandbox, and it worked!
I am thinking there was a plugin conflict, *maybe* the “Groups” plugin, which just had some major updates.

Anyway, as there was no errors in the logs, and no other information, let’s just consider this one of those mysteries.

    Thanks for a great plugin…
