  • Hi acub,

That may be possible but you’d need to dig into the WordPress API to figure that one out. Certainly it is possible to override individual strings being passed through the translation functions though that may incur some unnecessary overhead.

If you have corrections or improvements though do feel free to submit them to us – my colleague Leah collates them (and you can email her at pro [at] tri [dot] be) and that could be another way to solve the problem 🙂

    Thanks!

Sorry, I haven’t been specific enough in my question.

I’m not interested in bypassing individual translation strings, but rather the whole .mo file that comes with the plugin. I want to know if that file could be overridden by my own .mo, placed in my theme’s folder, under tribe-events/lang/ (the same way plugin templates get overridden by their modified versions saved in the theme’s folder).

Thank you for taking the time to answer this.

I imagine that is possible but since this very much the domain of customizations we’d need to leave it to you to figure out the details of implementing this 🙂

    Thanks!
