• Hi there,

after being forced to update the plugin to the latest version all email-messages now appear as html-text and are not readable for the user.

If you activate HTML emails are displayed properly…. -but the previous custommade text is gone.

If you switch back the scrambled text is sent again.

Do we have to create all text messages again or is this a known problem and can be fixed?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    I want to add:

the problem is not the HTML. The problem is all users now get standard email text from Ultimatemember but not the text we had created some years ago.

    This means:

    HTML field deactivated:

User gets an email with scrambled text as html code

    HTML field activated:

User gets an email in HTML with a standard text from Ultimate Member but no individual text.

    Hi @pan21,

You can add your custom HTML to the Ultimate member -> Settings -> Emails section, alternatively you can find your saved templates in your theme/child-theme (e.g. “wp-content/themes/twentyseventeen/ultimate-member/templates/email/welcome_email.php”)

    Regards.

    Hi there,

sorry, –this was not the problem and not the issue…. and besides that I dont want to add HTML to our text. All I want is the user gets the same text back when he registers as usual. And there is no subfolder with “ultimate-member” in my themes folder.

    Best regards

    Hi @pan21,

You can copy and past your old HTML email layout to the Ultimate member -> Settings -> Emails section.

    Regards.

yes I could do that…. if after the upgrade is a file with the old text…. but it is not, and the old text is not HTML. It is plain text.
