# Update failed. Forbidden

 * I’ve been getting a frequent error when installing this plugin on some of my 
   sites.
 * In the last month or two I’ve had this problem two or three times.
 * When trying to add the automatic maxmind file by clicking “Update now” I get 
   the error “Update failed. Forbidden”.
 * I’ve not had this issue on other sites on the same host, and it’s a clean install
   with few other plugins/themes yet added.
 * Any ideas why this could be happening?

 * Maxmind is using Cloudflare now which _sometimes_ blocks the update mechanism
   because he realizes it is not a real browser. I will contact the Maxmind support
   about this.

 * This should be fixed with the 2.8.2 update.
