   Hello, I’ve been trying to update the event calendar for a while now. Unfortunately,
   the update keeps failing.

 * We may be looking at some file permission issues here. At this point, I recommend
   that you try manually updating the plugin (see [Manual Updates](https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/)).
   To be safe, we strongly urge testing updates in a [staging environment](https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/).

 * I’ve finally found a way to get it working.
 * I created an empty directory called …/Category_Colors via FTP and then simply
   tried again using WordPress.
 * It actually worked.
