Update Error To Site

    Hi,

    I tried to update to 4.2.2 as our site was using 3.9.4 and had been hacked recently with viruses uploaded onto our page hoster.

    On updating I have been given the follow information on the webpage.

    Notice: register_sidebar was called incorrectly. No id was set in the arguments array for the “Blog Sidebar” sidebar.

    First turn off debugging. See how in the codex here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress

    Then check your theme to make sure it is up to date and works with your latest version of WordPress.

    Hi wslade I cannot login to the word press section in order to do this.

    Everytime I try to I get: ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. For help, please see this documentation or try the support forums.

    However I have allowed cookies on the website.

    You do not need access to the WordPress dashboard. You turn off debugging using either FTP or the File Manager provided by your hosting company. You will be modifying the wp-config.php file.

    I am in the file manager part. We use iPage, however I cannot seem to see how to turn off debugging.

    If you don’t know how to use the File Manager, look at the knowledge base provided by your host or ask them for help. Different hosts use different file manages so I can not give you any pointers about how your File Manager works.

    When you find the wp-config.php file, look for WP_DEBUG, true. Change the true to false. This is explained in the link I posted above.

    i have this problem, when i try to upload in media menu more then 3-5 files, wp gives me this error:

    “DSCN1525.JPG” impossible to upload because the file -code-%s/-code- is only partially upload.
