Update crashes website – WordPress asks always for FTP log in

  • Hi there,

I have tried to updated my all-in-one event calendar today by clicking on “Standard calendar for free”. After that I can’t do anything now. When I click on “Media” or “Pages”/New page, “Plugins”, “Settings” I always have to enter my ftp password. But that doesn’t help. I cannot event uninstall the calendar. I always get this message then:

“Errors occurred while we tried to install your core Calendar Themes.
Unable to create the Calendar Themes folder: /www/htdocs/w01041bc/wp-content/themes-ai1ec
Try to create this folder manually, then try again.”

    What can I do?

  • To fix the “Errors occurred while we tried to install your core Calendar Themes” I put the themes folder in the plugin download ‘themes-ai1ec’ into wp-content directory using FTP. Do not put it into the WordPress “themes” directory.

I am not sure about your other issues.

I have the same error, after updating.
Creating the folder via FTP does not do the trick, seems like all old files are gone and nothing instead.
I cannot access anything anymore from wordpress.

    Hi,

I’m curious if anybody has fixed this problem. Currently i’m facing this issue also…

My admin interface isn’t working anymore! How to fix this problem?

    Kind regards,
