# Update crash

 * I updated two files on my WP blog about 20 minutes ago. The moment I did, the
   site crashed. I got the following message:
 * `Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/97/5860197/
   html/wp-content/plugins/social-connect/social-connect.php on line 229`
 * I can’t even get into the wp-admin area to try to fix anything. It looks as if
   the problem is somewhere in the Social Connect plugin, but I can’t even log in
   to delete it. The site is running on GoDaddy. What, if anything, can I do?

 * Thanks, Tara. I just deleted the Social Connect plugin altogether and I’m back
   in business. I’ll reinstall it, or a different version of the same plugin that
   I can confirm is compatible with WP 3.8.1. Thanks for your help. You’re the best.

 * I just tried to update my WP blog and it crashed. The site won’t come up, the
   login page won’t load either. (blog.skylight.com) What do I do?
