    Immediately upon updating to the latest version I received a 500 error that took the entire site offline. I deleted this plugin and it came back up.

    I just had to restor 14 websites. Not funny, guys. I start searching for statistics plugin which does not kill all my sites with updates EVERY time.

    promise, I will never ever update your plugin anymore, before other ones tested it and give ok. it’s dissapointing: trouble, extra work, lost visitors.

    Hello Guys,
    I’m sorry for this update, The new version removed in the WordPress and We returned to the previous version. Please remove the plugin and trying to get the latest version.

    We have a problem with Browscap database. This library uses much memory on the server and we want to set a limitation for enabling this library in the plugin.

    its not possible, Mustafa, I got bigger problems restoring my page. This is not funny, I will not use this plugin anymore, and so sorry ratings will be bad. Second time in a few month that I am living this disaster.

    @wegsite

    All I had to do was delete the plugin and everything was fixed. Login via FTP, go to the wp-content/plugins folder, find wp-statistics and delete that. Your site should come online immediately after that.

    Best,

    Corey

    I tried, but some files were in use so I had to stop the webserver to be able to access them for deletion.
    Now is the question: Deselecting everything connected with browsecap, piwik and (do not want to get thousands of emails again because this also was not fixed) geoip download / update then the update “works”. But how to get rid of the flags which are alreay in the database? Delete the folder of the plugin, reinstall the old version and then deselect? May work, but I am tired of trying now.

    @peterdost,
    You can download this database (GeoIP and Browscap) with manually and upload in the wp-statsitics upload folder.

    Then you should update some option in the plugin to enable that.

    But I suggest you please wait a few days to get the new version of the plugin.

    @corey-kretsinger,
    Thank you for the responses
