Update 2.2.74 – Shortcode generates faulty display in frontend

    Hi there,

    after applying the new update, a page using the accordion via shortcode (classic editor) displayed faulty – the <div> of the accordion suddenly encased the <h1> Title and a paragraph that were standing above the accordion; the accordion was displaying at the top of the page while the <h1> wasn’t displaying at all in the frontend.

    None of the code was changed, reverting to the previous version of the plugin fixed it. Could you look into this?

    Hello there,

    Not sure what has happened to my previous updates on this ticket https://wordpress.org/support/topic/update-2-2-74-shortcode-generates-faulty-display-in-frontend/ so I am raising this as a new support request. Since the update of 2.2.74 accordions I have placed as shortcodes using the block editor don’t get displaced properly. As you can see from the linked page all shortcode contents get displaced on the top of page, no under each heading as they used to get displayed. I tried both the 2.2.75 and 2.2.76 version but the problem still exists. When trying to save the pages with the accordion shortcodes, it displays the error “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”

    WordPress version 6.2.2

    Hi @pmaheepala,
    Please update the plugin to the latest version, 2.2.77.

    If the issue still exists, then please deactivate our ‘Accordions’ plugin and try to publish the page again with the shortcode.

    Let us know the update.

    Hello @azizulraju,

    I just tried that but didn’t work I’m afraid. The last version to work properly is 2.2.72. I’ve enabled 2.2.77 on my staging site and it can be seen here. Please feel free to let me know if you want me to run any further testing.

    Hello @azizulraju

    there are 3 sets of accordions on that page and they are supposed to appear under those headings that you can see in bottom of that page (one accordion under each heading). That’s the issue as they worked fine up to 2.2.72.

    I’m having the same problem – the accordion is getting shifted to the top of the page content area.
