After update plugin to 11.5.0 now I see blank meta-data zone (Title, description etc) on Page Add/Edit screen.

    Website based on WordPress 4.9.10.

In Google Chrome Webdeveloper Console I see errors:

  • Same here. Happens as soon as I enable the WP classic editor. Yoast and WP both on latest versions.

I noticed that if I disable WPML plugin, Yoast does work with the classic editor enabled.

Same problem here, apparently the version is stuck on 11.3, Im still looking, meanwhile I roleback to 11.3

Rolling back didn´t solve the issue for me.
    How did you fix it?

    Thanks

Same here since 4 weeks! Divi Support testet installation of WP, Theme Extra and all plugins. Yoast causes the failure. With aktivated Yoast I can’t insert meta title oder meta description or tags. I can’t change the date of elder entries. It sucks. If Yoast is deactivated, everything works fine. WP Health says, everything is ok, besides of module imagick is not aktivated. So, what’s going wrong with Yoast?
Latest WP, Gutenberg disabled, classic Editor enabled.

We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen.

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

Unfortunately, I haven’t default theme on my site, also haven’t staging site. There are some plugins installed but before Yoast SEO updated everything worked well. And in start post of this topic I showed javascript console log with errors – it looks like only Yoast functions trying to call unavailable core functionality (website based on 4.9 core, not 5.x)

When I tryed to enter troubleshooting mode with Health Check plugin, I got 5xx server error without chance to roll it back for this moment. In another browser, where I am not logged in, I see that my site working well (no 5xx error). But now I can’t login to admin area to switch Health check plugin off 🙂

Complete removal of Health check plugin through ftp let me get access to admin area again.
Actually I have next set of plugins installed: Polylang Pro, ACF, CF7, NEXT Scripts: SNAP, W3TC with Cloudflare CDN, Widget Options.
And I really scare to touch any of them because of a lot of dependencies. I can’t break my site this moment, it’s high season.

@spoul We understand if you don’t want to perform tests on a live site. Your host might be able to helpSome popular web hosts offer quick setups for a staging site so please contact your web host for assistance. They will probably be able to help you out.Alternative options to set up a staging environmentIf your web host does not offer staging sites, the WordPress plugin repository offers staging plugins or you can create your own staging site.

@spoul We understand that your topic is similar to others as this is a very common issue which is specific to javascript conflict. So, we’d still like you to please perform a conflict check to find out the exact cause of the issue.

@syllogic If you’re experiencing a similar issue, please open a new topic and we’be happy to assist you.
