• Hi Everyone,

A long time ago, I installed UPC on my site and then, because I decided not to do any product catalog nor ecommerce, I removed it.

Situation has changed and, further to trying multiple options (ex: woocommerce, ecommerce product catalog, etc…), decided to go back to UPC.

Problem is, after installing the UPC plugin and activating it, it appears that even though I had deleted everything, all the products (numbers of products anyway) I had entered 4 years ago still show up in the published tab BUT, they don’t appear on my screen!?!?

    So,
    – I deacativated and deleted the plugin,
    – went into my C-panel to make sure the plugin wasn’t there anymore,
    – manually deleted the UPCP tables from the MySQL DB and
    – reinstalled UPC

PROBLEM: When I go into the UPC/Products, it still shows 179 published with nothing on the screen.

Anyone know what are the tables (other than wp_upcp_*) the plugin uses so I can manually delete EVERYTHING from the MySQL DB and do a clean install?

Thanks in advance to everyone who answers.

    Cheers,

    Marc

Marc also emailed and we’ve had several replies back and forth, so will continue the discussion there. For anyone else seeing this, the issue is related to the fact that, in 5.0.x, the products use a post type. So, when he deleted the products from the old DB tables, they still existed in the wp_posts table, which is why they were still showing for him in the plugin admin. The posts just need to be deleted from the wp_posts table.

    Hello Jay,

It’s actually a bit more complicated than that.

Bottom line, besides old UPCP data still being there after the deactivation and deletion of the plugin back in 2015, my DB and tables are corrupted from plugins I installed in the last 12 days or so (ex: Woocommerce, ecommerce product catalog, etc…) that did not uninstall properly.

Now going back to a 2 week old backup so I can try UPC right from the get go to see what happens.

    Marc
