    Hi,

    I have a little problem with the ordering of the events on my site.

    i have two events, both of them starts in january.
    one of them starts the 27th of january and ends the 29th of january.
    the second one starts the 8th of january and ends the 26 of febuary.

    my problem is that vsel orders it so that the event that starts the 27th is first displayed, even tho the second event clearly starts before the first event…

    i tried looking in the vsel-upcoming.php but couldnt figure out why it ordered it that way, since im not that good with php yet…

    Hi Sebastian,

    It uses the end date for the upcoming events listing.
    That’s why the event that ends on the 26th of february is always displayed after the event that ends on the 29th of january. So start date is ignored in this case.

    Is it posible to change it to set the orderby to look at start date instead of end date?
    and if so, how ?

    Hi,

    But in that case the listing of the event ends if start date is over… so multi-day events will not be properly listed anymore. That’s why I use the end date.

    Hi Guido,

    I talked to my customer, he will not be have more than one event, that starts the same date.
    Would it be possible to change it to look at the start date instead and how ?

    Hi Sebastian,

    Try this, open file vsel-upcoming.php and look for:

    
'key' => 'event-date',

    Change that into:

    
'key' => 'event-start-date',

    Note: I haven’t thought about other possible display conflics yet..
