 * I’m wanting to create upcoming events listings for church services in different
   time frames “This week” [my_calendar_upcoming category=”11,12″ template=”0507dd96a0f710a4e458113143c99295″
   before=”0″ after=”6″ skip=”0″ type=”days” order=”asc”] and that’s working ok.

But when I want “next week” the skip function appears to revert to skipping a
number of EVENTS rather than the DAYS as specified in the parameters.
 * I **bought the manual** to see if it would help but I can’t find what I’m looking
for. There’s a “from” parameter mentioned in the manual on p26 but I can’t see
how to set that to “current date+7” to get a start date a week in the future.
 * This is a website for a group of churches and I want to replicate the functionality
across all of them using categories, but I need to get it working first.
 * The product detail for the pro version doesn’t appear to what I need but do I
have to go Pro just to get support? It’s a charity site so expenditure is from
   my personal funds!
Thanks in advance for any help. regards, Charles

 * The ‘skip’ parameter always skips events, so that’s behaving as expected. With
the manual, you have to be careful to pay attention to which attributes relate
to which shortcodes; the ‘from’ shortcode doesn’t apply to the upcoming events
   shortcode.
 * The upcoming events shortcode is primarily event oriented, while most other shortcodes
are oriented towards dates – if you want to skip dates, you’ll probably want
   to use one of those.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I will do some more experimenting as you suggest.
The plugin is really good – I did a presentation of the website and the upcoming
events feature this evening and it was really well received. Charles
