Support » Theme: Neve » Unwanted space above footer

  • Resolved scorpe1976

I am working with the Neve theme on a local site (on Laragon) and using Elementor as the page Builder. I want the end of the content in Elementor to be joined to the footer, they have the same background colour and I want them to appear as one section, but there is white-space in between them. I am pretty familiar with Elementor so I know I haven’t done anything in there to add the space and I have added a page using the block editor and it has the same space.
I have tried editing the section in the customizer but to no avail. I have gone through every setting I can think of and I cannot see any padding or margin set that could be causing this. I have also tried to identify the issue with inspector but I cannot find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi @scorpe1976,

Could you provide a link to your website (if it can be uploaded online) together with a screenshot to the section in question? Without having ability to check the code it’s really hard to tell something and identify where those paddings/margins are coming from.

I have duplicated the issue here –

The footer sections are in green and the last element from Elementor with the social icons is in the same green. I wanted these two sections to appear as one but the white space in between then isn’t allowing this. The space definitely isn’t coming from Elementor and I can’t find how to get rid of it anywhere else.

    Hi @scorpe1976,

Thank you for duplicating the website and placing it online.
You can remove the margin with this Additional CSS:

    .nv-single-page-wrap {

    I hope that helps!

HI Vytis, I have just had the duplicate problem trying to utilise your Doctor2 demo site. Yes, your CSS fix has worked BUT why did I have to search for it?

This is very annoying that users have not been advised anywhere in your theme re this issue is a design aspect. It’s only by finally getting fed up looking for the culprit, I resorted to a convoluted search query and found this post. Not good design!

    Regards, Dennis

    Hi @appleisle,

Thank you for your feedback! We are sorry for the inconvenience and if you consider that an issue of the theme. We will take this into account.

Hi Betty, I appreciate the reply and glad you will note it.

I’m sure it would catch out a lot of basic users who try a starter template. Then they often need to customise.

Any option to bring control of that into the Customiser, I think would be very useful.

    Cheers Dennis
