Support » Plugin: Social Media Share Buttons | MashShare » Unwanted Share buttons on Portfolio page

  • Hi
I have a Portfolio page and next to the first item there are some share buttons that I don’t want. How can I get rid of them? They also don’t show up in the right place, if they did then it might not look too bad.

I have looked at the settings and can’t see how they can be removed.

    Cheers

    Hi,

you can deactivate share buttons on specific pages by adding the page id into the setting for excluding post ids, see http://take.ms/ixsNW

You can also deactivate share buttons at all for specific pages in the editor of a particular page. See: http://take.ms/vj03R

Than you can use the shortcode [mashshare] to include the share buttons anywhere you want.

I don’t want to deactivate the Portfolio page with the Share buttons but the items below it on the page.

I did what you said and the actual Portfolio page doesn’t have the share options on the page, this is not what I want.

The portfolio items on the page don’t show up correctly probably because of the theme and I don’t want them on there.

This is not resolved, I have added the page id and that doesn’t help either.

Btw. All the images on your portfolio pages are missing: http://take.ms/ka2tk

    Hi
Exactly I had Share buttons on that page and now I don’t have any. Also the items on that page also had share buttons and now they’ve disappeared.

These share buttons on the items I didn’t want but only on the main Portfolio page.

Sorry don’t understand what has happened, I should have took a screenshot to show you.

Yes there’s something wrong with the Portfolio plugin as it doesn’t look like it supports Child themes and hence no photos. That’s a separate issue and it’s being looked at with the plugin developer.

    Cheers

    Colin
