    I use a plugin called WP-Members and it worked perfect for the issue of that. I would suggest even upgrading to the premium since it offers other plugins for blocking IP’s. It was cheap enough and did the trick.

    And the Captcha feature is awesome. Hope this helps point you in the right direction

    Or you can just make sure that the box labeled “Anyone can register” is NOT ticked. Easy and free.
