    Hi @michaelkallweitt,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I’m really sorry about the confusion here.

As a courtesy to their customers, some web hosts curate the best WordPress plugins to include as part of their setup flow. As a result, some plugins will already be activated on a new WordPress install. For example, Bluehost comes with MonsterInsights Lite as a base analytics plugin.

If you prefer to not use MonsterInsights Lite, you’ll be able to remove it like other WordPress plugins.

We really appreciate you for taking the time to leave your feedback. If you have anything further to add, please let me know and I’d be happy to continue to discuss your thoughts with the team.

If you would like further help with MonsterInsights Lite, please feel welcome to reach us at

    Thank you!

Are you kidding me? My website exists for some time already, and the “courtesy” of installing your piece of … software … wouldn’t have gone unnoticed over the last months.

    Hi @michaelkallweitt,

Thanks for letting me know. I’m sorry about the continuing frustration here.

Since your website isn’t brand new, I reached out to our team for more information. Similar to being included with a web host’s WordPress installation, MonsterInsights Lite is also suggested by other WordPress plugins that we have a direct integration with, which you can opt-out of during the installation process.

If you are noticing MonsterInsights Lite is being installed and activated without your knowledge even after removing it, we’d be happy to look into what’s going on there if you could reach out to us at

    Thanks so much!
