Unwanted behavior with form error

When submitting a form with persistent data (user already submitted it once before), all new changes will be lost if a required field is empty! After you submit the form and Gravity Forms displays the error “There was a problem with your submission. Errors have been highlighted below.”, all values have defaulted back to the last successful submission.

This is a serious issue leading to great user frustration.
