• Hi guys,
I am running WordPress 2.0.4 and recently I got a bog problem that when my users submit posts and I click on those drafts to edit before posting them, the Word Press system did not display correctly, actually it did not display anything (here is the screenshot: http://i10.tinypic.com/4fu4sqb.jpg). After trying to refresh the page some ten times, sometimes it can be Ok again, but it is really terrible when you must refresh nearly hundred times (more than 5 mins) to view only one post

I have tested by disable plugins one by one and I also tracked and fixed the CSS erros but there was no effect also.

  • Are you running any sort of frame-busters on your site?

No, I did not run any frame-buster on my site. I have just replace all current files by the original files from WordPress download but no hope. Please help. Thank you very much !

Hi, I got and solved the problem. My issue is that I have too many users (more than 4000 ), so when it load the authors, it take a very long time, and it leads to time out error. Then I tried to deleted line 120 -> 129 in edit-form-advanced.php to prevent loading the all users, and it works again.

However, is there any way to manage users better ? because when some sites, such as mine, has too many users, this will be a problem when loading all records at once

Strictly out of curiosity… why do you have 4000 registered users in your blog?

Just because, actually, I use WordPress as a CMS, not just a blog, so there are a lot of members there. WP cant handle that number ?

As far as I know, WP doesn’t give a dump about how many users you have.

I was just curious. That’s why I used “Strictly out of curiosity” in my earlier post.

I am getting this exact same error (a mostly blank page) – but deleting lines 120-129 from edit-form-advanced.php does not solve the problem. But the error is specific to the user ‘admin’. I get that blank screen when I try to edit a page or when I go to write a new post. But when I go in as a different user who has author access, then I am able to post entries.

I currently have 1,000 users registered. It worked fine when I had 400 users. Note that my goal is to register around 8,000 users.

I am using a PHP MySQL progem to add the users automatically – I enter one entry in the wp_users file and 2 entries in the wp_usermeta file for each user.
