• When i click on an archive, eg: September, i get around 7 posts on the page that opens (2005/09/), then when i click ‘previous’ at the bottom, i get another 5 posts on that page (2005/09/page/2/), but there is no ‘previous’ link at the bottom of the page to show the remaining posts for that month.
Anyone know why this is please?
    Thank you

  • How many posts do you have in September?

A link to your blog might be helpful.

Altogether, there are 20 for Sep., but only 12 show (7 on 1st page, 5 on 2nd).
I cant post my link, its 18+ , lol.
    I’ll email it to you.
    Thanks
    Sarah

Are you using any plugins that adjust the number of posts per request?

I see that for /2005/08/ I get two pages, with six posts each. Are there, in fact, twelve posts in August?

No, the only plugin im using is wp-cache. there are in fact 16 posts for August.
    Thank you

Try removing that plugin and see what happens ?

No difference with wp-cache de-activated. Still 7 post on 1st page then 5 posts on 2nd page with no ‘previous’ link on 2nd page.
    Thank you.

What do you have set for “Number of Posts to display” in Options->Reading?

The fact that one month shows 7 items per page, and another month shows 6 items per page is troubling.

Are any of the posts marked “Private”? Are you using a ‘view levels’ plugin to restrict certain posts to users of a certain user level?

Are you using any loop tricks to filter some posts from display under certain conditions?

‘Show at most = 5 days’. Some days have more than 1 post.
Main archived monthspage (Sep) does indeed show 5 days(as it is set to), but has a ‘previous link’. 2nd page also shows 5 days but has no ‘previous’ link to show posts written earlier in this month.

No posts are private and as for levels, apart from me, there are only a few ‘level 1’ users, the rest are all just ‘registered’.

ps: dont know what ‘loop tricks’ are sorry 🙁
