I just setup wordpress for a new site I’m making and I created the databases, uploaded all the necessary files, and configured everything correctly. The tables were created just fine and I was given the default random password as usual.

Then I went to the login page for the first time it already displayed the message up top saying “session expired” and as I logged in it immediately dumped me into the open directory of wp_admin/

So I am left with an open directory being displayed in my browser and that it is.

I have wordpress installed on other sites of mine that work great and I’ve never come across this error.

    help would be appreciated.

if wp_admin/ has the expected index.php in it, I’d contact my host to make sure that index.php is set to be a default page with the web server.

If it doesn’t have the index.php, I’d re-upload the WP files.
