Unused Fields

    A one word answer (hopefully). Is it safe to remove unused columns from wp_participants_database so long as I’m not using them (i.e. there is no entry in wp_participants_database_fields)? Tried using the search facility on the forum to see if it’s been asked before but it’s a “quirky” beast, isn’t it?

    Yes, those columns can be removed. This is a feature that gives people a fallback if they want to reinstate a previous field or mistakenly delete one. It doesn’t affect performance (MySql is good like that), so the database columns are left in place.

    Yes, specific information can be difficult to find in the forums. They’ve tried to improve it, and it’s better, but still difficult.
