    Hello,

Thank you for this great plugin.

After installing Autoptimize I have found that periodically some of my pages start to malfunction – showing up as unstyled. This is fixed by purging my server cache (LiteSpeed).

I’d like to understand what causes this and how to prevent it. It’s usually one of my product pages (Woocommerce) that gets screwed up, and that’s not sustainable for me. I haven’t yet been able to correlate anything to when this happens.

Here’s what I see in the inspector console on the unstyled page: image

Not sure if this is helpful or if more data are needed. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

if the AO-files 404 (not found) then something removed them. AO does not have a auto cache purge, but this can happen if/ when you change AO options or if you have a plugin that (for reasons unknown to me) thinks it has to clear AO’s cache. indeed if AO’s cache is cleared, you should also clear your page cache (in your case litespeed) to avoid having a cached page that refers to non-existant AO CSS/ JS).

    hope this clarifies,
    frank

    Thanks!

Have you ever seen something like this before? I run the WP-Optimize plugin, but nothing I see in their options would seem to indicate it would delete CSS files. That’s the only plugin that I know of that would delete files.

Just curious if you have any ideas, I’m obviously not expecting you magically know this.

no, as far as I know WP Optimize only does db-optimizations, nothing else.

Marking as resolved as not due to AO itself, but in case you use the Divi theme; that one turns out to be purging AO’s cache after posts/ pages being published (or saved even?). It should not do that, feel free to tell them 🙂
