    Hello.

I’m having some issues with the plugin, namely, the way that posts are related is extremely odd to say the least.

In order to have maximum control on the relations, I have settings on “don’t consider” except for tags, which are considered “with extra weight”. The match threshold is also quite low with 2.

Now, I’ve entered the same three tags in three different posts. One of them is correctly showing the other two; another is showing only one; the third is showing none. This is very annoying, I don’t get why the first one is correctly linked and the others are not even though they all share the same tags.

Can someone help? Thanks in advance.

  • it might be a cache problem dl yarpp experiments and clear the yarpp cache. I too find it a little annoying how yarpp dose not auto update its cache when a new post is made to update the old post. maybe he dose not do it for the resources it would take who knows.

@johnirsk8r your idea is correct; old versions of YARPP did force other posts to recompute when a new post was made, but this was found to be too performance-intensive for some servers. Clearing the cache once in a while is the best way to deal with this right now.

Sorry to bump this, but I still do have some issues (although overall the plugin is great). Mainly with custom post types: they don’t seem to relate as well as posts, I’m trying to relate two sci-fi movies that share two tags but it doesn’t work no matter what, I even flushed the cache but that didn’t change anything; instead, games with sci-fi tag are pulled even though they only have one tag in common (sci-fi).
Any idea why would that be the case?
