Support » Plugin: YITH WooCommerce Wishlist » Unpurchasable products added to cart on wihshlist page

  • My clients sells enriched uranium to our military scientist. Here in Chile this product has some regulation i.e. the client must be >18 years old.
    So I’ve definied a tag for this unpurchasable product:

    add_filter( 'woocommerce_is_purchasable', 'no_armas', 1);
    function no_armas()
    {
      return has_term( 'uranium', 'product_tag' )?false:true;
    }

    The problem is some kids added this products to a wishlist and from there added to cart without problem. My client was forced by our internet consumer legislation to send by mail to the kids 2 kilograms of enriched uranium, and one of these nice children have died because of bad handling.
    IMO this should not have happened.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there

    That’s really sad, indeed!

    Talking about the problem, you should know that wishlist just uses loop add to cart button in its template, and if the product is not purchasable, as the case you described, button will just link to product details page

    In any case, wishlist plugin won’t override default Add to Cart behaviour, and WooCommerce won’t allow you to add something not purchasable to cart, even if you happen to accidentally click ATC button anywhere on your site

    So, I’m afraid the problem isn’t related specifically to our plugin
