Hi @nickottino,
I understand how concerning it must be to see PayPal checkouts fail with a MISSING_SHIPPING_ADDRESS error, especially since it only happens on the classic checkout and not on the new block checkout. From the error you shared, PayPal is requiring a shipping address but isn’t receiving it from the classic checkout flow.
Can you confirm if your products require shipping or if they are virtual and don’t need a shipping address? If shipping is required, please make sure that the Checkout settings in WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping are properly configured and that the shipping fields are enabled on the checkout page. If your products are virtual, it may help to check the PayPal gateway settings under WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → PayPal and confirm how the “shipping preference” is set.
As a next step, could you please share your site’s System Status Report with us? You can find it under WooCommerce → Status → Get system report. Copy the full report and paste it into https://pastebin.com, then share the link here. This will give us a clearer picture of your setup.
In the meantime, you may also want to test switching temporarily to the new checkout blocks to confirm the difference in behavior and ensure PayPal works consistently there.
Feel free to let us know how it goes.

Hi, @lovingbro
At this link you can see the system report: https://pastebin.com/dd5wRc55
The products bracelets so physical products.
The shipping settings are set to Default to customer billing address.
The checkout has the standard “ship do a different address?” option, so if not clicked, billing details should be supposed to be considered shipping too?
New block checkout works instead with same shipping settings.
Hi @nickottino,
Thank you for getting back to us and for sharing the report. I noticed that Stripe is also active on your site. Could you confirm whether this issue occurs only with PayPal, or does it also happen with other payment methods?
If the problem is limited to PayPal, a good next step would be to disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and your PayPal integration, then test again. If the issue persists, please try switching to a different PayPal payment plugin to see if the behavior remains the same.
When you’ve tested this, kindly update us with your results. This will help us determine whether the issue lies with PayPal itself or with a specific PayPal plugin.
If the problem only affects PayPal while other gateways like Stripe work correctly, that suggests the issue is not with WooCommerce core—since if addresses weren’t being passed properly, it would affect all payment gateways, not just PayPal or a specific Paypal plugin.
I’ll be looking forward to your response.

Yes it’s a Paypal speficic problem.
For the moment we made some tweaks to keep the new checkout so paypal works too.
We will then schedule the disable all plugin test.
In case it works I guess we have to reactivate one by one and test?
Or can we see what could couse the error from Woocommerce logs?
Thank you
Hi there,
Thank you for the update. Yes, that’s correct — if the issue disappears after disabling all plugins except WooCommerce, the next step is to reactivate the plugins one by one (or in small groups) and test after each activation. This will help identify which plugin is causing the conflict with PayPal.
You can also check the WooCommerce logs to see if any specific errors are being recorded. You’ll find them under WooCommerce → Status → Logs. Select the most recent log file from the dropdown (especially any mentioning “PayPal” or “fatal errors”) to see if it provides clues about the issue.
Please let us know what you find.
It’s been a while since we heard back from you @nickottino for this reason we are closing this thread.
